Implicit Bias – NY Real Estate Continuing Ed – Mandatory Course

Implicit Bias Course Header

Beginning September 21, 2022, all New York real estate licensees must complete a 2 hour course on Implicit Bias. This is one of the new requirements in NY along with another 2 hour course on Cultural Competency. If you are a New York real estate agent or broker and your license expires on or after September 21, 2022, these new requirements apply to you.

Keep Me Certified offers the Implicit Bias and Cultural Competency courses as part of its 22.5 credit package. Keep Me Certified is a fully approved online real estate school by the New York Department of State Real Estate Commission.

Our Implicit Bias course covers important topics that include implicit vs explicit bias, the pros and cons of bias, how bias affects everyone, micro-behaviors vs microagressions, self-asseessment tips, inclusivity, best practices to identifying and mitigating bias behavior in a professional and personal setting and a number of other topics.

This course is taught by Jeff Weiss with guest James Childs, a specialist with extensive experience in the DEI space.
